BGEN GERRY E PULOHANAN O‐131285 JAGS assumed his post as The Provost Marshal General, AFP (TPMG, AFP) effective 21 September 2018.
BGEN PULOHANAN was born on 10 December 1968 in Igbaras Province of Iloilo. He was called to active duty with a rank of Captain on 01 September 1997. At present, he has already rendered twenty‐six (26) years of active military service in the AFP. Prior to his designation as TPMG, he was the Chief, AFP Human Rights Office from 24 January 2018 until his appointment at the Provost Marshal General, AFP. Prior to his designation as Chief AFPHRO, he was assigned as Air Judge Advocate (OAJA) Philippine Air Force; BGEN PULOHANAN also served as Force Legal Adviser, United Nations Mission in Cote d‘Ivoire (UNOCI), West Africa. In his twenty‐six (26) years of service, he received a long list of commendations and awards such as Distinguished Service Star (DSS), Distinguished Service Medal (DSM), Military Merit Medal, Honor Graduate General Staff Course (GSC), among other certificates and letters of commendation and appreciation.
He also attended various local and International/foreign trainings/fora/workshop. In July 2018, he attended the Regional Workshop for Legislative and Executive Officials on Mass Atrocity Prevention from ASEAN and other Southeast Asian States in Thailand and 3rd Annual Senior Military Lawyers Round Table (SMLRT) at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August 2018. In 2019, he attended Senior Officers exchange program in Vietnam. In 2010, he also attended the International Law of Military Operations (ILOMO) Course in the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) at New Port, Rhode Island, USA. He also visited various countries and cities for the conduct of Post‐qualification of foreign bidder companies, to wit: US, Madrid, Spain, London, Scotland and among others. He also used to be the President of the GCM, GHQ and law member of the GCM of the PAF, PA and PN.
He took his Political Science undergraduate Course from Central Philippine University and graduated in 1989. He also graduated with a Degree of Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from San Sebastian College‐Recoletos in 1994. He passed the 1996 bar exam and was admitted to the practice of law in May of 1997. In February 2020, he was conferred with Juris Doctor, which is equivalent to a doctorate Degree from San Sebastian College Recoletos. Also, in June 2020, he graduated Provost Marshal and Military Police Investigation Course (PMMP CL43‐2020) at General Headquarters, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
He is married to Miss Sue Ann P Coballes, and they were blessed with two daughters and a son.
